Mobile Dog Grooming Policies

Maintenance Schedule

It is highly recommended to frequently schedule your pet's grooming appointment according to our grooming appointment policies. In fact, 95% of our clients pre-book multiple appointments for mobile dog grooming throughout the year. Due to the nature of this scheduling, there may not be room to adjust or modify your appointment once it has been set. Please schedule your appointments accordingly to avoid missing them. We only accept clients who meet our pet grooming requirements and are on an eight-week or less grooming schedule.

Matted Coat

Mats form when the coat is not properly maintained, often due to a lack of regular brushing and combing. If the mats are too tight against the skin to be removed safely, a shave down will be necessary to humanely eliminate them. To avoid excessive matting, we recommend adhering to our grooming appointment policies and scheduling regular grooming appointments. We will de-mat your pet (if possible) at a rate of $2 per minute (with a minimum charge of $10), in addition to the standard grooming fee. Should a shave down become necessary, an additional fee will apply based on the duration of the matting removal. 


At Reno Mobile Dog Spa, we provide mobile dog grooming services but are not liable for any injuries that may occur during the matting removal process. Furthermore, we cannot be held responsible for the condition of your pet’s skin after the removal of mats. Please note that matting and extra brushing fees may be added to the overall service cost and must be settled during pick-up, in accordance with our pet grooming requirements.

Refusal Of Service

We reserve the right to stop or refuse any grooming appointment in the event that we determine it is in your pet’s best interest or if your pet displays aggressive behavior. Additionally, our mobile dog grooming services do not accept pets with fleas, as this is one of our essential pet grooming requirements.

Cancellation

We send appointment reminders 48 hours in advance as part of our grooming appointment policies. It is the pet owner's sole responsibility to remember their appointment. For mobile dog grooming services, we must be notified at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment of any cancellations. If the appointment is canceled on the day of service, the client will be billed for the full grooming price. Additionally, service will be terminated for repeated cancellations or no-shows, in accordance with our pet grooming requirements.

Pre-Existing Conditions & Accidents

Reno Mobile Dog Spa adheres to strict grooming appointment policies and is not liable for any pre-existing injuries or conditions, whether diagnosed or undiagnosed, that may become aggravated, exacerbated, or discovered during our mobile dog grooming services. This includes, but is not limited to, bone injuries, self-inflicted injuries, and the condition of your pet’s skin once de-matted. We always prioritize your pet grooming requirements and their health and safety, and we will promptly notify you of any complications or issues if discovered.

Media Release

Clients authorize Reno Mobile Dog Spa to take photographs and video content of their pet(s) during grooming appointment policies for use on social media, the website, advertising, and other business-related matters, in accordance with mobile dog grooming and pet grooming requirements.
